Library Instruction Requests

Faculty can request instructional support from a librarian at Speed Library. Instructional support can include instruction in the library or classroom, and can also include instructional materials integrated into the Speed Library Subject and Course Guides. We offer a series of video tutorials that can be integrated into online courses and accessed anywhere, anytime.

The Library's instruction program is designed to introduce students to basic sources and search strategies, including the new information technologies needed for effective library use. The presentations offered are course-related instruction, according to the needs of the class and the requests of the instructor. Undergraduate and graduate classes are both welcome.

The Reference Department requests that the library instruction class be scheduled to coincide with a research assignment. To schedule library instruction, submit the form below.

WE WILL NOW BE OFFERING IN PERSON INSTRUCTION AS WELL AS PRERECORDED VIDEO BASED INSTRUCTION SESSIONS WITH INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT. NOTE THAT THE FORM BELOW NOW REQUIRES THAT YOU DISTINGUISH BETWEEN WHAT TYPE OF INSTRUCTION YOU PREFER.

Library Instruction sessions are designed to introduce students to library and information resources, research strategies, and technologies necessary for accessing information.  Both undergraduate and graduate classes are welcome.
